Fun at Home
Today's photos are something that Eli is totally fascinated with in our house. Garbage. Well, not exactly garbage, but the wooden structure that houses our trash can in the kitchen. Recently, I took the garbage out to the garage only to find that he had opened the wooden door and found a new fort.

We're Public
Following many months being password-protected, we have decided to make the blog public. And perhaps post a little bit. Lots has been going on in our lives, but we'll pick up at Halloween this past weekend. We had a great time with Eli's classmates dressing up on Friday. Then we went with our friends LC and Jace (dressed splendidly as Thing 1 and Thing 2) to Kaw Prairie Church on Saturday for trick or treating and games. And on Sunday, it was off to the races to get some CANDY! Eli loved going door to door. And how did I know that he loved it? He kept saying "more knock knock."
The good news was that he signed "thank you" for every treat received. The bad news was that he wanted to eat every piece of candy as soon as he received it. Favorite treat of the night was tootsie pops...not chocolate, but tootsie pops. Definitely got that from his dad. Here are some photos of the fun weekend:

Katie and Ed's Wedding
California
Wow! I cannot believe that I have not posted for over two months. Free time has been spent crocheting, reading and getting other stuff done. Quite a few changes are going on in our household as of late:
- We're in the process of moving to Milwaukee, WI (from Kansas City). We listed our house about a month ago and are patiently waiting for it to sell before making the big move.
- We recently spent 10 days in California on a great vacation with Grandpa and Grandma Wagner. We visited Sequoia National Park, King's Canyon and drove up Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway). Eli was able to see the ocean for the first time and love it. At the end of the vacation, we were able to celebrate Aunt Katie's marriage to Ed. It was a wonderful time! The following are some photos from vacay and wedding.

Zoo Adventures with Grandma Tempel
So it's probably not the warmest time of year to be looking at animals outside, but the crowds were thin and the animals were aplenty, so we decided to embark upon our adventure at the Kansas City Zoo last Saturday. Thanks to Grandma Tempel for the fabulous experience. We will definitely be going back soon. Eli's new favorite animals are deer (see the video) as well as monkeys of all sorts. We had a fabulous time and would highly recommend the zoo as a wonderful daytime outing.
